Sabbath Potteryware - The Snowdrop Serving Bowl

This exquisite earthenware bowl was created to be a timeless piece to add to your Lord's Day table, and was created with special Sabbath use in mind. Use it to serve a pot of steaming soup, a crisp winter salad, or a pile of fragrant oranges; a simple and humble vessel of hospitality and welcome.

Each bowl was handthrown, glazed, and painted for this collection by Christy Stoltzfus of The Little Kingfisher Pottery, using an earthy cream clay with a slight black speckle and crackling effect in the clear glaze. The interior rim of the bowl features a cobalt, handpainted vine motif, and on the bottom you'll discover a delicate snowdrop -- a symbol of the hope and refreshment that Christ gives.

Lead free and food safe. Handwashing is recommended.

Disclaimer: Each bowl is entirely handmade. As a result of the unique creative process, no two pieces will be exactly the same. This is what sets handmade pottery apart. Glazing variations and lines and marks where the potter's hands have formed the pieces all contribute to the character of each piece, and create a unique, one-of-a-kind heirloom. Care has been taken to ensure that each bowl is very similar to one another. They are fully functional and food safe.
