Letters for Ordinary Days is a monthly snail-mail delight, bringing a little morsel of encouragement for your everyday moments.

In our fast-paced, media-driven world, many of us are longing for a return to more analog activities: reading physical books, walking in nature, writing with pen and paper, and talking to others face to face. Letters for Ordinary Days is one small way to interact with real-life goodness in a screen-free way. And what is more delightful than finding a handwritten letter in the mailbox?!

Each month, you will receive a thoughtful letter (written by a DOP staff member or friend of the ministry), a sweet gift (such as a sticker, art print, postcard, recipe card, etc.), and a discount to our online shop. We hope this monthly dose of delight encourages you to slow down and savor beautiful things in your everyday, ordinary life.

THE DETAILS:

This is a one-year subscription, paid for all at once. You will receive 12 letters total.
Postage is included in price.
Mails to U.S. and Canada.
Letters are mailed the first week of each month.
Delivery windows average 1-3 weeks.
Sign up by the 15th of each month to receive the upcoming month's letter.

Frequently Asked Questions

"Can I track my letter?"
To keep costs as low as possible, we are using a postage rate that does not include tracking. We think this actually adds to the anticipation! There is something a little extra special about eagerly checking the mailbox each day, not being sure when your letter will arrive.

Please note that letters are mailed the first week of each month, and delivery windows are 1-3 weeks.
"How do I update my address?"
If you need to change or update your address to Letters for Ordinary Days, please let us know as soon as possible! You may email address updates (or other questions) to shop@daughters-of-promise.org.
"Can I send a subscription as a gift?"
Yes! To designate a year's subscription of Letters for Ordinary Days to a friend, simply enter their name and shipping address during checkout.

We do not include any pricing or other identifying info in the letters, so if you want your friend to know this is a gift from you, you'll need to tell her directly!
"What if my letter gets lost in the mail?"
We are not responsible for letters that are undelivered because of an incorrect address. Please let us know ASAP if you move or notice you entered your shipping address wrong on your order. If your address is correct, but the letter doesn't arrive, please let us know. We keep a few extra letters each month and will resend as supplies last.
