About this Issue

As followers of Jesus, we are strangers and pilgrims in a place not our final home. But the fact that we are “just a’passing through” does not mean hunkering down until we can evacuate to glory. God’s call is to build His Kingdom on earth, as it is in heaven; to invest in the places where we dwell. This issue of Commonplace is an invitation to seek the good of your own hometown. Whether you’re thriving there, or struggling, we hope this issue encourages you to explore with fresh eyes, wandering through the ordinary in search of what is good and beautiful, getting to know your city better, and learning to love it more.
