Commonplace Vol. 01 - At Home

The 01 volume of Commonplace centers around “home” — where each of us spend the most ordinary moments of our lives. In the domestic, we encounter the relentless, tedious, and largely unglamorous labors of life. There is an endless list of repetitive daily tasks — ones that, nearly as soon as we’ve completed them, must be done again. In the greater story of the Gospel, where does the quotidian of washing dishes, folding laundry, cooking breakfast, making the bed, and scheduling appointments fit?

Through the words, photography, and artwork of dozens of guest contributors, this issue explores the answer to that question, highlighting the Kingdom value, beauty, and goodness that exists in the common spaces of life at home.
