Shop & Customer Delight Manager

This is an in-person job located in South Boston, VA. A training period with the current shop manager will begin in February, with the new hiree taking over all responsibilities by April.

The DOP Shop Manager is responsible for all store-related organization, management, and packaging. She should have excellent organizational skills, computer skills, and efficiency in completing tasks and meeting deadlines. She should possess excellent communication skills, primarily in a digital environment, and be able to communicate graciously and effectively with customers in answering questions, responding to complaints, and looking for solutions when there is an obstacle.

Compensation: $17/hr

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process and package all Daughters of Promise orders, with set office hours on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and more frequently as needed during high volume times.
  • Be physically able to lift heavy boxes of >30 lb. at times. This includes unpacking products, loading/unloading packages to the post office, etc..
  • Manage Commonplace subscriptions via Shopify.
  • Oversee all refund/returns/cancellations.
  • Process purchase orders from wholesalers.
  • Brainstorm beautiful packaging, in keeping with the DOP brand.
  • Purchase packaging supplies as needed.
  • Drop off packed orders/schedule USPS pickups to ensure same-day integration into the postal system.
  • Check the post office box for mail.
  • Keep the office tidy, and inventory organized.
  • Manage inventory on website.
  • Manage shop emails, endeavoring to reply to all new messages within 24 hours.
  • Experience with Shopify, Google Drive, and ShipStation is strongly preferred.
